"For the past three years I have been using the Sola tent during my cycle tours across Canada, and this past summer across 10 countries in Europe, over many alpine passes. It has always stood the test of the most inclement weather; I have come to rely on it quite a bit." Derek VanderMolen December, 1999.

Sola

A single person double hooped shelter with room for some gear storage (or a small dog!) in the triangular head area. The sleek and taut Sola offers serious weather protection. No skyward facing zippers, 3" deep tub floor, and fully flapped door zipper. The Sola has plenty of ventilation from the awning covered mesh foot vent through to the adjustable head tunnel vent. You climb in feet first through the snug 20" x 24" x 26" triangular door, and stay warm and dry in the worst of weather.

The Sola is available in Woodland Camo fabric with a Taslan face fabric and a Tricot lining. The Camo Sola is 5oz. (140g) heavier than a Sola made out of Tegraltex fabric.

Product Review:

"Enjoy more space than a bivy, carry less bulk than most solo mountaineering tents. Our 6'2" tester is impressed with the Sola's length (he can stretch out comfortably), tiny packed size, and aerodynamic two-pole hoop design. Mesh vents at both ends prevent condensation in cold, humid conditions and overheating in balmy weather." Cimbing Magazine, March 2005
